Lady Lou shocked all, when she agreed to do an interview on College radio! The radio station is broadcast throughout New York, but they didn't expect Lou to turn up to that radio station as it was a little more grubby compared to other stations throughout New York that would have jumped at the chance to interview her!
Here's part of the interview:
Your new album have recieved pretty good reviews from critics, and I know your fans can't wait for the release... are you excited?
Damn right I'm excited! I was considering releasing the album earlier because I'm that excited. I hope the fans love listening to it as much as I enjoyed recording it.
Stacy Wood, Jasmine & Monkeyslut all feature on the album, what was that like?
Well I'm thrilled they're on the album! For a matter of fact the only act that's on the album that I haven't yet met is Monkeyslut as they were in London whilst I was promoting "Anaconda" in L.A.
How did it come about working with them?
Erm... one of my representatives put the word out that I was after a collaboration and I got a lot of responses from many other acts but Stacy was the one I chosen to work with! With Jasmine she actually asked me and although I don't usually record with unknowns she had a good vibe to her so I said yes. And my management asked Monkeyslut to remix "Dream Boy" for the album and they accepted!
Because I know it shocked a lot of people when you went in the recording studio with Jasmine.
Yeah it did, but at the end of the day she had just started out and needed the exposure as we all did at the beginning of our careers. I'm always offering her advice in this industry but she's gonna be a BIG star!
Who else would you like to work with?
If it was a solo male singer... I'd probably want to work with Si... I'm a fan of his work! A female solo singer... erm... erm... that's really hard probably Tia Flower or Jessica Aguilera both great girls! And if I was gonna work with a group which is very unlikely it would probably be Divine or Girl Power!
Now the American press printed that you and Val London made friends because she phoned you and said sorry... is that true?
Yes it's true, and we both are very friendly with each other now.
She's started a new solo project, what do you think of it?
I think it's real good, she wasn't right in Vogue and she's coming out on top... even though Shirley started solo first! And I love her forthcoming single "Tongue Tied".
Finally, we've got to ask! Is there anyone in the industry that you don't like?
Of course there is.... Vegabond, Junkie and I'm starting to dislike Jaci!
Lou, it's been great talking to you. Thanks
Thank you!
Lou was that to promote her forthcoming single "You Can't Hold Me Down" and forthcoming album "Xposed"
